Konjac Sponges - The Review

Oh hey guys! I purchased this sponge months ago and completely forgot I even had it. I finally opened and tried this last week. Here is my review..

RRP 7.99

I can't remember what posessed me to buy this sponge at first as I didn't really need anything of the sort. I think I was at Birmingham's "Mailbox" in John Lewis. I wanted to buy something.. you can't walk out empty handed, can you?

I'm so glad I bought it! Really chuffed with it. You're probably thinking..
"OK Alisha.. its only a sponge.."

WRONG!.. it's more than just a sponge.. So, it doesn't have any fabulous powers or anything but I've seen such a difference in my skin already due to this sponge.. I really am loving it.

Konjac is actually a vegetable used in Asia. It has been used for over 1500 years in Japan. The Konjac sponge is made from 100% vegetable fibre, which I love.
Konjac is packed full of antioxidants & minerals!
It is completely biodegradable which again, is another thing I love about it. This sponge was actually first used for babies, I genuinely would buy one to use on my future baby! (forward thinking hehe)

Its ever so soft & gentle on the skin. I use this on my face and my arms. I've been Cleansing, Toning & Moisturising religiously for the past month.. I'm on a strict wedding skincare regime! Need my skin to be in tip top shape..

How I use my Konjac Sponge..

I pop a little face wash on my skin, I love Liz Earle's Cleanse & Polish.
I rub it into my face, take away as much of the product with the muslin cloth it comes with.
I then run my Konjac sponge under warm water until it puffs up and brush it over my skin in circular motions. I wouldn't advise putting product straight onto the sponge as it damages the sponge.
Be gentle with it.
My skin is actually glowing. The sponge takes away the dead skin without damaging the new skin cells.

Which Konjac Sponge do I use?

The Konjac Sponge company have different types of sponges for different types of skin. They even do baby sponges.. yes! They are THAT gentle, you can even buy one for your baby!

I purchased the Pink sponge, which has a mix of White & Red clay. The clay is packed full of minerals to help our skin look healthy and flawless.
Dependent on how often you use the sponge & how much care you take of it, the sponge should roughly last around 2-3 months.
When is starts to come apart, it's time to purchase a new one.
This might not be your cup of tea due to purchasing a new one so often but now that I've seen such a difference in my skin, I most definitely will be purchasing another.

Do these sponges appeal to you?
