L'oreal Preference Hair Colour - Deep Red.

SO.. I coloured my hair on Friday evening. I was refraining from colouring my hair this year but I couldn't help myself.
I tend to get bored of things quite quick and my hair was looking a little boring colour wise.
I chose this L'oreal Paris dye as I fancied trying a different brand out.

I loved the elixir in this box of dye. My hair has never been so shiny! I bought two boxes thinking one wouldn't be enough for my long hair. I covered the all of my hair with only ONE box which is great. I have another box for when I fancy sorting the roots out.
I feel so refreshed having a different colour to my hair :)

Hope you like it!

Favourite Movie & Song of the Month..

It's that time again.. I've left it a little late seeing as this month is nearly through. It's nearly MAY people. Where has this year gone?

Movie of the Month.

Fast 5 - I'm not into action movies but this film gives me such a buzz. I cannot wait for the next two to come out. One comes out next month and the other comes out next year.

Song of the Month.

WE'RE DRINKIN' FROM THE BOTTLE!
This song gets me pumped for a night out.. and the gym. I have this playing at the gym when I'm having a crazy cardio session. Love it.

Rapid White - Triple Action Whitening, BOOSTER GEL.. THE REVIEW

For the past three weeks, I've been using this gel twice a day, every day. I did say I'd review it after two weeks but as I hadn't spotted much of a difference, I thought I'd give it an extra chance and tried it for a further 7 days.

The gel seems to add a dry feel to your teeth which isn't a nice feeling but you tend to just pursue with it thinking "WHITE TEETH! WHITE TEETH!" ha
I haven't seen any difference, baring in mind that I've cut the amount of caffeine I drink on a daily.

I paid £8.70 for this and I'm quite unimpressed. Not all of my reviews are positive but I'm truly honest. This might work on others as every one is different. This didn't work for me.
I'm yet to find a product to whiten my teeth without paying a ridiculous amount.

Ex1 Foundation for Asian & Exotic Skin.

In general, foundation matches are very difficult to find. As an asian woman, I struggle to find the EXACT foundation match for my skin tone. Right now, I mix a little MAC "studio sculpt" with a little Estee Lauder "Double wear" as you can probably tell, it's expensive to buy two foundations but my exact match is both shades together.

EX1 Cosmetics are a HIGH STREET brand designed for asian and exotic skin tones. It's great to see that they have noticed how pricey it can be to find the right shades for asian skin.
This brand has already been featured in Asiana magazine, Grazia and even Cosmopolitan.

Unfortunately, their foundations are only in 5 shades which is a shame as I would've expected them to have a few more. Somehow, I don't think 5 is enough.
However, I have found my perfect shade (F400) It's quite light in consistency yet buildable.

"Cleverly designed light diffusing particles detract attention away from lines, wrinkles and blemishes."

I think this foundation is great as an every day sort of foundation, it's very Quick, Easy & Hygienic to use due to the pump.
It has been Dermatologically tested, is 100% oil and fragrance free and lastly, it's non pore clogging.
I quite like it, using a kabuki brush it leaves a lovely shine to the skin.
It doesn't have an SPF so I won't be wearing it during the summer months but it will definitely be one of the casual foundations I wear on a quick dash to the Supermarket or to work.

£10.50

The range includes Compact Powders, Blushers, Under Eye Concealers and Mineral Powder Foundation.
I have all of the above and will slowly be testing them out so keep an eye out for those reviews. For now though, I'll be wearing this new foundation on work days and quick shopping trips etc as it has lovely coverage and shine to it.

L'oreal Paris - Skin Perfection, 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution - REVIEW

I know a lot of people own and swear by Bioderma. I haven't tried it just yet but I saw this on another blog and decided I'd buy and try.
This 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution promises to
  • Dissolve make-up
  • Unclog pores and remove impurities
  • Tone & Soothe the skin
I've literally JUST tried this and it's a good thing I bought two.
(Superdrug have an offer at the moment 2 for £4.99 on their skincare.. this retails at £4.99 alone.. Bargain!)

Bare in mind that this is the first make-up remover/toner I have ever properly used as all of the others previous to this have stung my skin.
I have really sensitive skin, so the fact that the packaging states that it is for sensitive skin is the only reason I bought it.
Normally, I remove my make up with Liz Earle's Cleanse & Polish.

I had a light foundation on plus some bronzer and a thick layer of mascara. I popped some on a cotton pad and my make up came off with one swipe.
I obviously went over it again making sure I removed every last bit.
I didn't feel a tingly, stinging sensation and I have zero make-up left on my face.
It took me less that two minutes to do it which is perfect for me as I get really impatient!

I like the fact that you can use it on the eye area. I can't go a day without liquid liner so I enjoy the fact that this is light and sensitive.
Like I said I've never really religiously used a toner/make-up remover before, neither have I used Bioderma so I don't have much to compare it too.
One thing I do know is that I will be using this day & night as it seems promising. My skin feels very clean and moisturised too. I've tried a couple make-up removers in the past on an odd occasion from my cousins stash and my skin felt sore and stripped too. My skin hasn't gone red or sore so I quite like this solution so far.

Liz Earle Make-up Haul.

Since purchasing Cleanse & Polish a fair few times, I've really been intrigued when it comes to this brand.
I haven't bought any other products from them but I've tried the little testers/samples they send when you purchase from their site.

I have so much confidence in this brand which is why I recently purchased a few bits from their make-up range. I paid £36 for the Skin Tint and Concealer. The blush came free. (This was their March offer)

Sheer Skin Tint (Beach 03) (£21)

I was sent a little sample of this months ago and it's always been on my list of things to buy. I finally bought it.. It's stunning. It really is. The thick consistency means that the skin stays moisturised for longer. The tint itself makes your skin look healthy and refreshed.
If you want a substitute to a foundation, something light and great on your skin (SPF15) then this is the perfect purchase.
I know for a fact i'll be wearing this religiously during the summer months and on the morning after the night before ;) I had a night out last Saturday and my skin looked haggered the next day. Popped a little bit of this on and VOILA lol

Light Reflecting Concealer (Med-Dark) (£15.50)

This concealer is meant to add radiance to the eye area. I wouldn't say it's the best concealer I've ever bought as it's not really concealing.
I'd say it was very similar to the Touche eclat and just as good! It's a great product but for highlighting, not concealing. I'll be using this but not for concealing purposes.

Healthy Glow Cream Blush (Nude 03) (£16.50)

I've only swatched this so far so I'll review it another day on my cheeks but I love this already.
The smoothness of the product is cream like but when you pop it onto the skin it goes on like a powder. I love that its moisturising as my skin tends to dry out. I love this blush so far!

Overall, these products haven't disappointed so far. I'd say the skin tint would be something I'd re-purchase.

Organic/Herbal life.

Don't mistake this for Herbal life the brand. I'm talking in general. I've always been a fan of health food stores. Some people look at me with disgust when I sit there eating Dried dates, blueberries, sunflower seeds and raisins etc
I haven't chosen to take the super healthy path, I genuinely enjoy eating all of those things.

For the last few weeks, my diet has been mixed. I've had my usual healthy stuff but equally I've been eating a lot of 'on the go' type snacks such as Crisps and biscuits. I cut those out of my life for years and all of a sudden I'm eating them again.

As of tomorrow, one stressful part of my life will be finished and I cannot wait. I can finally go back to the gym and give my body the cleanse it needs. I've stopped taking any medication as pain relief methods, I've stopped taking medicines for colds, coughs etc All I take now are my inhalers for Asthma but I know once I'm back to being all healthy again, I won't need those either.

I'm really interested in Herbal life and Organic food, so please post here if you eat or drink anything for specific reasons, whether its medical or cosmetic. or even tweet me @UnLeeshd
I'm so interested in cleansing my body and only eating and drinking what's good for you. Obviously, I'm not that strict.. I will have the odd KFC or Nandos here and there but I do need to start respecting my insides more than I do at the moment.

Get in touch :)
